Learning is a vital component of our employee experience proposition and the role of the Future of work Digital Platforms Manager is to support the Digital team to ensure that the digital solutions we produce make a measurable contribution to their experience and performance within the new future of work framework

The Future of Work Digital Platforms manager is responsible for project managing digital learning platforms across the Future of Work portfolio, working with third parties and our offshore support teams to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of digital learning and performance support resources. They will also work on the customer journeys project – looking at how to transform conventional classroom sessions into innovative and successful virtual/digital solutions.

Your role

Reporting to the Head of Digital Platforms, you will project manage the day to day activities on the digital design project portfolio with a specific focus on Future of Work projects. You will own and design key projects that support our strategy. As well as administering and expertly maintaining our existing technology platforms, you will have the opportunity to design and deliver new digital and blended content that addresses the skills gaps identified within the business. Building robust, reliable and user centric technology based solutions will be key.

You’ll have a proven track record in management and core HR competencies, but it will be your genuine enthusiasm for emerging learning technologies that will make you stand out.

Specific responsibilities

  • Own and design key projects in support of the strategy and plan for the use of technology within learning, consulting with all key stakeholders within the function and in all Service Lines
  • Working with the learning leadership team to develop and maintain the pipeline of work across UK learning with a particular focus on projects that will support the Future of Work.
  • Support key projects and recommend upgrades/changes in line with budgets
  • Administer and maintain existing technology platforms, integrating upgrades working with IT or suppliers on time and in budget
  • Ensure adherence to design and maintenance standards and taxonomies and monitor performance of systems and services in support of the relevant technology projects
  • Hold relationships in the market place with suppliers who can partner with Deloitte to deliver on-brand solutions
  • Design, deliver and pilot new platforms (digital and blended)
  • Financial management across the portfolio of projects – ensuring activities are completed in a timely manner and that all stakeholders are kept up to date as needed
  • Plan, co-ordinate and undertake testing of all developed technical solutions – ensuring corresponding documentation is up to date and maintained
  • Build robust, reliable templates for use with a wide variety of different applications and technologies where relevant
  • Host and implement learning solutions on the appropriate learning platform for efficient access by our practitioners
  • Communicate developments in technology based solutions to raise awareness of opportunities and possibilities within Learning – making recommendations where appropriate

Location: London

Work pattern: This is a fixed term contract opportunity (12 months). The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

Your professional experience

  • Experience at manager level and have a proven track record in core HR competencies and exposure to the associated risks, serves as an expert in own discipline
  • Knowledge of learning theories, methodologies and techniques in relation to the use of technology in education
  • Experience of working within a learning management system (preferably SABA)
  • Experience of working with a virtual classroom technologies
  • Substantial experience of working successfully with people across different levels within an organisation with the confidence to challenge/question when needed
  • Strong financial management / commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrable experience of user-centred design methods, including user-journey mapping, user experience design, personas and user-testing
  • The ability to participate in creative and design conversations, introducing new thinking and ensuring the best design outcomes
  • The ability to translate client business needs into realistic and achievable plans collaborating with multiple teams/SMEs
  • Excellent knowledge of forward thinking technologies and capabilities with the potential to significantly enhance the learning experience
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to address diverse organisational stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with guidance only needed in the most complex of situations

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm.
