The Role

About the Role…

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. We are passionate about providing the best possible service to our tenants through our people. This role will be working with our Communities Directorate providing comprehensive, professional, and high-quality strategic HR advice and support to ensure best practice people management.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for you to work in a team that is committed to making a difference, who support each other and who demonstrate a value-based proactive approach to work through their everyday behaviours.

We are currently working remotely, there is an expectation that this role will move to hybrid working, with a requirement to work on our sites based in Pontypridd.


What you’ll be responsible for…

  • Developing and maintaining trusted and effective partnerships with senior leads, challenging, and influencing their thinking, by working closely with them to meet current and future business needs.
  • Providing support, advice, and guidance on a diverse range of HR topics; including change management, workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, developing new ways of working, analysing and utilising workforce data to support effective decision making.
  • Working with senior leaders and managers to develop capacity and capability to deliver strategic priorities and achieve cultural change.
  • Supporting staff engagement and staff health and wellbeing.
  • Being a proactive, resourceful member of the People and Innovation team, sharing ideas and best practice that supports our business, and enables people to better deliver our corporate plans and workforce goals.


The successful candidate will ideally have/ be…

  • CIPD qualified to level 7.
  • Extensive Business Partnering experience with a proven track record of building good relationships and credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Experience in coaching, challenging and advising managers.
  • Comfortable operating in a changing organisation, happy to role model, adopt and influence new practises and behaviours, and lead others to do the same.
  • Excellent people management skills, seeking to bring the best out in others.
