The Role: An operational HR generalist role (complex ER casework)
Salary: £32,306 – 39,027 (depending on ER exp) can be full or part-time working (remote working possible, home working, hybrid working to suit)
Location: Wakefield (some travel to NE and NW)
This is a 'great' opportunity to work in a role where you will get real exposure to wide range of complex casework and complex HR issues, supporting and guiding Managers/investing officers with a range of employee relations issues in areas of disciplinary/performance management/and grievances.
THE ROLE: In this HR role you will be expected to manage your own employee relations case load and provide specialist advice, liaising with trade unions as required. Working autonomously providing specialist advice and guidance on some complex casework when necessary. Lead on complex sickness absence management cases including terminations and proactive redeployment. Manage small scale TUPE transfers from tender to mobilisation and lead change management programmes. Lead on a range of HR Projects from inception to completion. Participate in the job evaluation process. To provide timely and up to date advice on a wide range of complex HR issues, interpreting policies and procedures, pay and reward, national and local agreements and employment legislation. To undertake specific responsibilities as appropriately allocated by the Hd of HR Services and to work across regions as required.
THE CANDIDATE: CIPD 5. Experience of working as part of an HR Service to a business providing a range of advice and guidance. Experience of interpreting and advising on terms and conditions of employment. Experience of delivering HR projects and HR policies and procedures. 'Specialist experience in employee relations ie; appeals and employment tribunals and delivering TUPE transfers and change management programmes'. Experience of leading and delivering HR projects. Specialist knowledge of TUPE transfers. UP to Date knowledge of employment law. Previous experience offering in depth advice and guidance on ER issues, Sickness Absence management. Experience of interpreting and advising on T+C's of employment. "Previous experience or knowledge of working in the healthcare sector or NHS would be an advantage".
